I used to be vehemently anti-gun until I met fine people who were hunters. Clearly, gun ownership and the laws that control their use are not simple issues. However, after the shootings of children at Sandy Hook Elementary School, I expected significant changes in gun control laws. I was dumbfounded when attempts to tighten these laws could not pass Congress. For this piece, I created the most shocking image I could think of to express my horror at school shootings and my disappointment in our government. It is based on Marc Chagall's White Crucifixion.
